How to derive happiness?

Being happy in the odds of life is quite a challenging task. You might need a lot of strength to stay smiling in a disastrous situation. Odds are not permanent fixtures of life. They come and go. It is the perspective someone holds while facing a difficult situation in life.

How can you get this happiness when nothing is correct in the surrounding environment? Well, there is only one thing you can do. You have to look inside yourself. You have to feel from heart. You have to understand the situation on how, when, where things happened.

Invading your inner conscience is always helpful to help you understand the nuance of a situation. There are a number of complexities prevailing in the feelings which need to be understood. Not many people think about taking this step. It’s not that they don’t have time; they are not at all interested. Many people only believe in following a routine. For them mornings, days and evenings are the same. Spending time with family, busy office schedules during weekdays and year-end celebrations- these are part of life for them and they don’t think about detaching themselves.

However, there are people who are always looking for happiness even in the slightest bad phase of life. They believe bad things can enter the body and soul at any time without warning. The decision to stay firm and enjoy the changing scenario is what is called contented happiness. You know things are very bad but you find a solution so that negativity doesn’t enter the mind.

If you are finding it difficult to deal with odd situations of life, why not observe nature? Nature is a powerhouse of a variety of fauna and flora. The movement of birds, animals, insects, water and flowers give a lot of satisfaction. If you are able to share your negative thoughts with them, you feel a great relief afterwards.

Happiness is derived by overcoming the shortcomings of life. You need to motivate yourself. There are plenty of resources present around to shrug off negative feelings. Parents are always there. However, sharing feelings with close friends could allow venting out negativity.

Why not get to the root cause of suffering? If you are able to understand things, you can get a lot of relief. It is also possible to look into the best things in life. Where optimism knocks the door, make sure you take the right step to remove pessimism in life.

Is money an effective tool of motivation?

Money is need of hour, especially when recession has taken over the world economy. It has played a vital role in getting an employee hooked to an organization. If pay is good and keeps increasing steadily year on year, it persuades people to work for the organization for a long time.

Is money really a good motivator? It’s a question very often asked to employees. Many employees feel money is crucial to meet the daily and extravagant needs of life. A good house, automobile, children’s education, food and travelling can be met affordably where employee is receiving good salary. Perks and allowances are excellent supplements to support life-style.

However, some don’t consider money as an effective motivational tool. It can buy the material needs of life but what about status, promotion and ambition. An average employee always thinks about climbing the ladder of the organization. He wishes to achieve a significant status in the eyes of public. Some feel ambition would rule the roost only where it’s possible to reach the top and let the world know about you.

Non-monetary rewards have become the prime priority in life. Promotion on a consecutive basis with the chance to get the best facilities and amenities from company motivates the employee to improve self in every aspect of work area. Innovations are explored and put into application. Team spirit and timely execution of work schedules are taken into consideration. It is checked whether power to mix and lead the group in an effective manner is possible or not.

Encouraging the employees through awards and honors gives pleasure and a reason to improve accordingly. Recognizing the efforts and duly compensating for those efforts helps in enhancing the work-improvement. The token of appreciation has a heartening effect that could induce anyone to put whole-hearted effort in work.

Money has always played a role in meeting the immediate needs of life. However, encouraging employees through non-monetary benefits could give long-terms return to the company.

Negotiation skills in leadership

One of the main assets in achieving effective leadership is the use of negotiation skills. It’s an art which could be developed or improved in order to proceed in life or career. These skills could give an immediate fame to the person through the best mind techniques.

Some people feel negotiation skills are inborn. It is God-gifted and could be used in a situation in case there is proper and disciplined use of words, mind and reading power. You can capture a deal if you are able to read the mind of opposite party on time. However, others feel it could be attained and retained through a sustained approach and learning from environment.

Negotiation skills often call upon the use of flexibility in speaking and working power. Sitting on the table for a deal of more than $100 million and you have just few seconds to take the decision. This requires the precise and pragmatic use of words. You have to work carefully while reading between the thoughts of other party on the table. If you get a slightest hint of the deal falling in your court, fall for it by bending at the right moment. After all, deals don’t materialize in a day just like Rome was not built in a day.

Another important factor which invokes the negotiation skills of a leader is the constant and disciplined touch with people who have ruled the arena in the field of negotiations. There are many people who have attained experience in dealing with associations or persons through negotiation. They have learnt the art and science in using negotiation skills. Staying near such people and trying to understand the rules of diplomacy helps in harnessing self-skills.

Negotiation often requires knowing the history of the opponent. If you have a thorough knowledge about the company or the person with definite information about his weakness, you could hit the hammer on iron when it’s hot.

There are various coaching institutions spread throughout the world that exclusively impart training in negotiation skills. Using and making logical use of skills could make anyone move up despite hurdles.
